How to turn images into a PDF

  1. 1Drop in your JPG or PNG files, or choose them from your computer.
  2. 2Put them in the order you want with Up and Down.
  3. 3Choose a page size: fit each image, A4, or Letter.
  4. 4Press Create PDF and the file downloads.

Choosing a page size

Fit each image makes every page exactly the size of the image on it, which keeps photos sharp and avoids white margins. A4 and Letter place each image on a standard sheet, centred and scaled to fit, which is what you want if the document will be printed or filed.

Formats and quality

JPG and PNG are supported. Images are embedded as they are, not re-encoded, so a PDF of photos is roughly the size of the photos themselves and nothing is lost to a second round of compression. HEIC from an iPhone needs converting to JPG first, which the Photos app does on export.

Images to PDF: common questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is assembled in your browser, so the images never leave your device.

Can I convert several images into one PDF?

Yes, that is what the tool does. Add as many as you like and they become one PDF, one image per page, in the order shown.

Which formats are supported?

JPG and PNG. HEIC, WebP and TIFF need converting to JPG or PNG first.

Does it reduce the quality of my images?

No. Images are embedded as they are, with no second round of compression.

Can I make an A4 PDF from photos?

Yes. Choose A4 or Letter and each image is centred and scaled to fit a standard page.

How do I turn a scan into a PDF?

Export the scan as JPG or PNG, drop the pages in here in order, choose A4 or Letter, and create the PDF.

Need this inside your own app?

The same engine runs behind the html4pdf API: post HTML, a URL or a JSON template and get a PDF back in the same request. Nothing is stored on our side. New accounts get 10 free credits.
